Only just noticed this as so busy at work, but eXceem this week has hit the milestone of having 500,000 public posts

A eXceem member has won a car in the freebiejeebies car competition. This has been running for the last 6 months, and the winner has just been announced.

I would like to say thanks to the FJ guys for running this competition, and for asking me to make the final draw, despite the fact of a heavy night the night before!! (mini comp - guess who was the most and least hungover that night!)

Its now time to start the process to the eXceem member of the year 2009 award.

The first step is to collect nominations for the eXceem member of the year. To do this please report this post by clicking here or on the icon at the top right of this post. Include in the report the member you are nominating and a few words why.

The nominations will close one week from now, at midnight Monday 7'th December, when they will be collected up and the next phase of the awards started.

Any questions please ask in this thread. Please note there will be separate poll's for eXceem staff, and in addition to the normal network awards there will be a network staff member of the year award also.

Just a couple of updates for you regarding eXceem's moderators:

• Arcticfox has been promoted to a eXceem moderator
• The difference between moderators and super-moderators has been removed, and all moderators will have super-moderator powers. Over time I'll rename this to something more meaningfull
• Amanda has left the mod team as she no longer has the time to dedicate to eXceem

I am sure you will all welcome Arcticfox as a mod, and I would like to thank him for joining the team!

A new site, called Lockerz has been doing the rounds, a slightly different format to most sites on eXceem, but it could still give you freebies. To find out more check out this thread about http://www.exceem.co.uk/forums/loung...tml#post558294 and find out how to join.

It appears during a upgrade of some network equipment, something went sightly wrong causing eXceem (and a few thousand others!) server to go down. It looks like it was down from arround 5am - 7am this morning.

The upgrade to the network is scheduled to take place all weekend, I was told that service would not be affected, but with this downtime there is the chance small periods of downtime could happen again - doesn't look likely now

the following has been added to the 1st post of the conga threads:

Please note - if you havent logged in or been active on exceem for a month you will be removed from the conga and will not be reinstated

to prevent losing your place on a conga and keep up with the thread please use the subscription option - eXceem - FAQ: User Profile Features

if you are going on an extended holiday for a month or some other valid reason and have informed a moderator/admin of dates you will be away prior to being inactive we will make an exception .
pming us after 3 months and asking to be put back on the conga will no longer happen.
